Crazy Item of the Week! Tired of Boring Junk? This Week We Hauled a Whole Tractor Tire!

One of the things we Recycle at Olsen'sJunk Removal are Tires. Not just normal car tires, but big tractor tires as well. This was one that we pulled off a Job in Orville. It takes up a lot of space in the trailer and also costs us a pretty penny to get rid of. As long as the customer understands tire disposal cost, we are ready to take any tire you may want removed. p.s. (this isn't even the biggest one we've taken)

Goodbye Backyard Eyesore: Above-Ground Pool Demolished in Dalton

What to do with an old above ground pool? The answer wasn't as easy as having it repaired. Olsen's Junk Removal got a call about a pool removal ion Dalton Ohio. Being a Dalton Resident, Dawson went and took a look at the monstrosity. The pool had sat vacant for 2 years once it sprung a leak. During those two years, the customer's cat would fall in and would almost drown until being save by the homeowner. They had not choice but to bust holes in the side so critters could escape.

They had no choice but to hire Olsen's Junk Removal to have the Above ground pool Removed in Dalton. The result probably wasn't what they expected, unfortunately the ground underneath the pool still held water. Looks like they didn't even need the pool in the first place! But, now that the pool is gone, they can make plans to rebuild their backyard dreams with a better drainage system and hopefully a new and safer pool.

What types of Things can be Donated?

If you have decided that you want to donate some of you're items, there are a few key questions you have to ask yourself. 1. would I personally use this Item? 2. Is it in Good-Decent Condition? 3. What Type of Donation Center would Best fit this? These questions will help you decide what's still good, what needs to be thrown away, and what type of person would benefit from getting this item at a discount price.

Is the Item Good? Would you personally use this item if you were the one purchasing it? A lot of times people look at donation drop-offs like a garbage dump, they don't want to pay to have it disposed responsibly so they "donate" it to a local thrift store or charity. Not only is this disrespectful, but it costs the charity or thrift store money to then have to have it disposed of. One example of this was when Mission Thrift in Orrville had to hire Olsen's Junk Removal to remove a full load of junk that people dropped off. If it's broken, or if you personally wouldn't use it, Throw it Away!

Answering questions 2 and 3 are also important. Are the items in good condition? that also means, Are the Items outdated? Lets be honest, you would not use and old box TV. So don't try to give it to a thrift store because they are so Old, Heavy, and Outdated that nobody spoil;d ever purchase it. Used Flat screens are cheap enough anyway. The Last Question is: Where can I take Donatables? The items you have should effect the pace you take it to, Example: Olsen's Junk Removal takes all of their good furniture to Habitat for Humanity Restore in Canton or Wooster (https://www.waynehabitat.com) (https://www.restoreeco.org). They are able to sell furniture at a cheap price very quickly compared to some thrift stores. Olsen's junk removal donates sealed goods like soaps, toilet paper, and towels to CommQuest Services in Stark County. They use these goodsa directly for their Rehab patients so they could use them more than a Thrift or Re Store (https://www.commquest.org) Lastly Clothing: Olsen's Junk Removal has connections to local Clothing Resellers, but for the average donator they would recommend taking them to Goodwill (https://www.goodwillgoodskills.org) I hope This Help you decide what to donate and where to take it.
