Crazy Find of the Week

Check out this garage that had a face to face experience with a tree during a windstorm in downtown Canton. Dawson went out to give a quote on this job last week. The homeowner said "it felt like an earthquake". The tree crush the barn and hit the screen porch roof. What an unfortunate occurrence.

Hoarder home in Orville Turned renovation ready in 48 hours

Olsen's Junk Removal recently did a 5 1/2 trailer clean out on the outskirts of Orville OH. This Hoarder home Cleanout in Orville was mostly just years worth of junk that had been accumulated over time. Dawson and his Crew made quick work of the 4 sheds and basement that need to be cleaned out. The homeowner was a real estate investor that did not want to deal with cleaning out the property himself. "I never could have done it myself" said Phillip, the homeowner. He was very happy to start this project off with a clean slate.

A barrel that is being used to store small metal pieces for scrap metal

This Orrville project is just one example of how Olsen’s Junk Removal goes above and beyond for homeowners who need fast, reliable service. Throughout this hoarder home cleanup in Orville. The Junk Removal crew was sorting through the items looking for donate and Recyclable material. As they pulled items from the property they made separate piles so that the items wouldn't get mixed up. This is not the most efficient way to clear out a place, nor the cheapest, but this is eco-friendly and sustainable for our future. By reusing items, we are able to donate the items to charities that can sell them for a fraction of a cost so that people can afford them. By Recycling, we can repurpose items that don't have 1st hand value, but can be turned into something completely different.

#1: Copper Wire Copper wire is in most electronic and appliances, with a simple pair of wire cutters, you can cut off the wire and and the plug and set it aside to be collected for recycling. Copper wire is a valuable metal. The crew at Olsen's Junk Removal always makes sure that they cut off the wire before throwing something away or recycling the item. This one extra step helps recycling facilities reuse more precious metals. Cut Your Wires!!!

#2 Aluminum: it's shiny like steel but you will find that it doesn't stick to a magnet at all. commonly found in household hardware and railings. It doesn't rust but has some strength, this is why it's such a valuable metal. Another type of aluminum can be found in soda cans as well as siding and flashing for construction. Recycle aluminum operate from your normal steel because they are easy mistaken for each other. Star Recycling Aluminum today!

#3 Brass: The last one is Brass. it's a mix of copper and zinc but is also very valuable in large quantities. it has a golden hue, but it will corrode like copper does. This is commonly found in pipe fittings for plumbing and gas, as well as sink hardware and other household hardware. Keep an Eye out, it's harder to recognize, use a file to check if the color is consistent throughout thew object.
